The MIST 55 is a general purpose RTD industrial
temperature sensor constructed with a variety of protection heads, fittings and optional thermowells. The construction, is
the most commonly used sensor in numerous types of applications and is ideally suited to be used in where any standard industrial
RTD's or thermocouples are used. Standard protection heads include aluminum, screw cover, quick release, 316SS, NEMA 4X and
explosion-proof.
Since the transmitter is integrated to the sensor and hermetically sealed, it prevents water and
humidity to infiltrate the housing and damage the electronics. There are no additional connection leads or hardware, such
as mounting boxes or cables tracks, necessary. Installation time and therefore labor costs, is considerately reduced.
Saves
Money The MIST temperature sensors can save you money in other ways, with its wide temperature range -200ºC
to +600ºC (-328ºF to +1112ºF), the MIST can be used in many applications where thermocouples and RTD’s are presently
used. Since the MIST is using an RTD to measure temperature, and has a standard 2 wire, 4 to 20mA output signal
you can use less expensive 2 leg copper wire to run back to your control system, eliminating the need for more expensive 3
and 4 leg copper or thermocouple extension wire. Other advantages the MIST has over thermocouples is that it is much less
susceptible to electrical interference and longer signal runs.
The MIST 55 Series sensors can be supplied
Factory calibrated to 20 common temperature ranges these standard temperature ranges are suitable for most common RTD applications.
As the MIST are fully programmable, they can be factory calibrated to your specific needs or with the optional MIST-Isoft
calibration module and PC based software recalibration can be done in the field.
